Kate Middleton chooses discreet hidden orthodontic treatment

It is a smile that already has and will in-fact charm millions for years to come. Appearing in the Telegraph today an article exposes the methods used in Kate's smile treatment. An extremely interesting read with regard to aesthetics and the notions of teeth being far too perfect. Dr Fillion states that "Teeth that look like piano keys are not good, so we try to give back some details, maybe a space we don’t close, or a shorter incisor". Following on from the lecture that Sharon presented to the British Orthodontics Society in Harrogate a few weeks ago, she has now been invited to present to the French Orthodontic Society in Paris next weekend. Being a highly experienced orthodontist and one of the first to use the Acceledent appliance in the UK. Walpole has subsequently successfully used the Acceledent system with over 60 patients, this is almost twice as much as any other practice in the UK.

Walpole in the Mail On Sunday - Wedding Bells, and braces...

Walpole was featured in last week’s Mail on Sunday and our very own Dr Sharon Orton-Gibbs had some great advice to give on the AcceleDent system.

Sarah Hammond of Epsom, Surrey, received the Walpole treatment when she told us that she wanted to straighten her teeth in under a year in preparation of her dream wedding. Our expertise was on hand to help. We were one of 20 UK orthodontists selected a couple of years ago to trial a new system on the orthodontics market called AcceleDent, which ultimately speeds up tooth-straightening on average by up to 30%. With a wedding just round the corner it was an important part to making Sarah’s and her fiancé Chris’ day that extra bit special.
