How do I clean and look after my orthodontic braces?

It is important whilst undergoing your orthodontic treatment to care for and clean your mouth and teeth well. You will need to clean your teeth at least twice a day, including between teeth and around your orthodontic braces. We recommend using a fluoride toothpaste and mouth wash carrying the British Dental Health Foundation's accreditation logo. You will also need to take care to not damage the braces. Our orthodontists here at our surgery in Surbiton, Surrey will give you advice on cleaning and brushing dependant on which appliance you are wearing.
