Did you know that Myleene Klass has had lingual brace treatment?

Myleene Klass went public about her lingual brace treatment back in 2010 whilst she was presenting on the ITV daytime show This Morning. Myleene’s smile still continues to grace the nation but who would have thought that prior to this she had been wearing lingual braces for 5 months?Unlike conventional orthodontic braces - inside lingual braces are completely invisible as they are not visible or attached to the front of the teeth. They are suitable for adults and children alike as they can help align buck teeth and close gaps with the ability to fix anything from minor to major irregularities in tooth alignment. Many celebrities from fashion designers such as Sadie Frost to TV presenters like Steve Jones have benefited by having their teeth straightened by lingual orthodontics and braces.

It is a smile that already has and will in-fact charm millions for years to come. Appearing in the Telegraph today an article exposes the methods used in Kate's smile treatment. An extremely interesting read with regard to aesthetics and the notions of teeth being far too perfect. Dr Fillion states that "Teeth that look like piano keys are not good, so we try to give back some details, maybe a space we don’t close, or a shorter incisor". While we find this to be true to a degree the "harmonious symmetry" he speaks of should be a product of great orthodontics and not due to invasive treatment to the teeth. Here at Walpole we offer the  same braces used to give Kate her winning smile. We get great results for our patients using treatments such as Incognito (lingual braces)and Invisalign  - both of which are near invisible giving the wearer the confidence they seek whilst undergoing treatment, this is extremely popular amongst older teens and adults. For more info on our Surrey practice please give us a call or get in touch using one of our contact forms.
